Dhalai: Feb 12. A two-day visit by the Tripura Legislative Assembly Scheduled Tribes (ST) Committee is underway in Dhala district to inspect hostels for tribal students.
Today, the committee members visited the tribal hostels in Kamlapur and Ambasa. The delegation was led by ST Committee Chairman Pramod Reang and included MLAs Rampada Jamatia, Ranjit Debbarma, Nandita Debbarma Reang, and Mailafru Mog. Ambasa MLA Chittaranjan Debbarma accompanied the team. Officials from the Tribal Welfare Department and Assembly administration were also present.
MLA Rampada Jamatia said in an interview that the visit aims to identify problems in the hostels.
A detailed report will be submitted to the Assembly afterward. Visits to the North and South districts have already been completed, and similar inspections will continue across other districts in a phased manner.
