The Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) on Tuesday announced the schedule for the upcoming elections to the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC), with polling slated for April 13, if required.
According to the official notification, the election process will commence on March 18 with the issuance of public notice by the Returning Officers. The last date for filing nominations is March 25, while scrutinizing nominations will be conducted on March 26. Candidates will be allowed to withdraw their nominations until March 28.
Polling will be held from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM across all constituencies. In case of any disruption, a re-poll or fresh poll, has been scheduled for April 16.
The counting of votes will take place on April 17 from 8:00 a.m. onward, and the entire election process is expected to be completed by April 18, the commission stated.
The SEC also informed that necessary administrative and security arrangements are being made to ensure smooth, free, and fair elections across the TTAADC areas.
