Agartala: Feb 10. Ambassa English Medium Model School has come forward to support Ujjwala Mog, a Class X student, whose house was completely destroyed in a late-night fire incident at Baghmara area on Monday night.

The fire broke out at around 1 a.m., reducing the entire household to ashes within minutes. Ujjwala, her father Radha Mog, and mother Niowa Mog lost all their belongings, including essential documents, clothes, bedding, furniture, and most importantly, Ujjwala’s study materials ahead of the CBSE board examination.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the teachers, staff, and students of Ambassa English Medium Model School immediately stepped in to help the affected family. The relief initiative was led by Principal Mandira Debbarma, with active support from teachers Rina Debbarma, Rashmi Chakma, Swapan Namasudra, Utpal Dutta, Gobinda Das, Sourav Das, Biswajit Debnath, Joan Jamatia, and Jayadev Tripura, along with Group-D staff Parimal Debnath and several students.

The school handed over cash assistance, along with rice, dry food items, clothing, winter wear, and blankets to the family. Giving special importance to Ujjwala’s education, the school also provided CBSE Class X textbooks, notebooks, pens, an exam board, and a geometry box.

The family expressed deep gratitude, stating that the timely support has given them strength and hope during an extremely difficult phase.

Local residents said the incident highlights the true essence of education—humanity beyond textbooks. They further appealed to the administration and society at large to extend additional support so that Ujjwala can continue her studies without interruption.
