North Tripura: Feb 13. A district-level “Udyam Samagam” was held in Dharmanagar on Friday to promote micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and strengthen their market access through awareness on government schemes, procurement policies and marketing support.

Dharmanagar, Feb 13. The programme was organised at Ardhendu Bhattacharya Smriti Bhavan by Tripura Industrial Development Corporation Limited (TIDC Ltd.) under the Government of India’s MSME Procurement and Marketing Support Scheme.

The primary objective of the event was to inform local entrepreneurs about various government initiatives, public procurement policies and available marketing assistance. Officials also provided guidance on connecting locally manufactured products to wider markets, aiming to enhance competitiveness and business growth.

North Tripura District Magistrate and Collector Chandni Chandran attended the programme along with General Manager of District Industries Centre Sajal Kumar Das, DIC Loan Manager Anjan Debbarma, Lead Bank Manager Tarun Kanti Das, Senior Scientist of Krishi Vigyan Kendra Panisagar Dr. Surendra Kumar, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officer of Yubarajnagar Bijan Sharma and Chief Trainer Rajib Deb, among other officials.

During the interactive session, entrepreneurs directly engaged with representatives from various departments, discussing challenges, opportunities and financial support mechanisms. Necessary guidance and clarifications were provided on the spot.

An exhibition of locally manufactured products emerged as a key highlight of the programme, showcasing the district’s growing entrepreneurial potential.

Officials expressed confidence that such initiatives would open new avenues for MSME growth and further strengthen the district’s economic activities.
