The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the exam dates for the UGC NET December 2025 session. The exams will begin on December 31, 2025, and will continue through January 7, 2026. The UGC NET December 2025 will be a computer-based test (CBT) conducted nationwide for 85 subjects. This exam is held to determine eligibility for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor roles, and PhD admissions in Indian universities and colleges.
Candidates will be notified about their exam city 10 days before the exam starts via the NTA website (ugcnet.nta.nic.in). The application process for UGC NET December 2025 began on October 7 and will remain open until November 7. Applicants can edit their submitted forms from November 10 to November 12.
The NTA advises all aspirants to ensure their Aadhaar card, UDID card (for disabled candidates), and category certificates (EWS/ SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL) are valid and updated while filling out the application form, as discrepancies could lead to rejection during the admission process. Details such as the candidate’s name, date of birth, photograph, address, and father’s name on the Aadhaar card must be accurate.
