Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha has announced a major step to improve healthcare in the state. On October 15, the Tripura government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AIIMS Delhi to upgrade medical colleges and hospitals in Tripura.

This partnership aims to turn Agartala Government Medical College (AGMC) and GB Pant Hospital into centers of excellence for medical education and advanced treatment. AIIMS Delhi will help train doctors, improve hospital management, and share expertise to boost the quality of care and services provided to patients in Tripura.

The government’s goal is to give people in Tripura world-class medical facilities and reduce the need to travel outside the state for treatment. As part of this project, new courses and training will be added, and the hospital’s equipment and infrastructure will be upgraded.

“This is a proud moment for all of us,” said Dr. Manik Saha. “With support from AIIMS Delhi, our hospitals and medical colleges will reach new heights and offer the best possible care to our people.”
