Gandatwisa, June 9: A comprehensive review meeting on the status of school education in Gandatwisa Subdivision was held on Monday under the chairmanship of Raima Valley MLA Nandita Debbarma Reang.
The meeting was attended by senior officials of the School Education Department, Block Development Officers (BDOs) of Dumburnagar and Raishyabari, Sub-Divisional Officers (SDOs) of the Drinking Water and Sanitation (DWS) Department and the Public Works Department (PWD&RD), along with the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) of Gandatwisa.
During the meeting, participants reviewed several key issues concerning the education sector, including the quality of education, school infrastructure, student welfare, learning outcomes, teacher deployment, and the implementation of ongoing government educational initiatives.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Nandita Debbarma Reang stressed the need to strengthen educational delivery mechanisms and ensure the effective implementation of government schemes aimed at benefiting students across the subdivision.
Officials also discussed measures to improve educational outcomes and address challenges faced by schools in remote areas. The meeting focused on enhancing coordination among departments to ensure better educational facilities and services for students.
The review concluded with the SDM of Gandatwisa issuing specific directions to the concerned departments for the timely execution of priority actions and continuous monitoring of educational performance and development indicators in the subdivision.
