Agartala, October 1, 2026: Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Thursday launched three major initiatives aimed at promoting innovation, digital empowerment, entrepreneurship and youth participation in the state.

The initiatives — Tripura Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026, Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogajog Yojana (Academic Year 2025–26), and Digi-SAPNE 3.0 — were launched at a programme held at Women’s College, Agartala.

During the programme, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the renovated and developed Matangini Pritilata Sabhagriha at Women’s College.

Focus on youth, technology and innovation

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Manik Saha described youth as a vital human resource and highlighted their role in the development of Tripura and the country.

He stressed the importance of combining institutional education with modern technology, ethics and practical learning, while underlining the growing importance of innovation and technology in the state's development.

The Chief Minister also highlighted the government's emphasis on technology-driven improvements in education and greater awareness and use of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence.

Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026

The Tripura Seva First Innovation Challenge 2026, organised under the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, seeks to encourage students, innovators, researchers and startups to develop innovative solutions to governance and public-service delivery challenges.

The initiative is intended to provide a platform for innovative ideas that can address practical challenges and improve public services through technology and new approaches.

Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogajog Yojana

The government also launched the Mukhyamantri Yuba Yogajog Yojana for the Academic Year 2025–26 as part of its efforts to strengthen digital access among students.

According to figures reported during the programme, the scheme has benefited more than 63,000 students since its inception in 2019–20, with expenditure exceeding ₹31.62 crore.

Digi-SAPNE 3.0 launched

Another major initiative launched during the programme was Digi-SAPNE 3.0, the third edition of the Digital Startup Accelerator Program for the North East.

The programme is designed to support technology-driven startups through structured mentorship, business acceleration, investor connections and access to the wider startup ecosystem.

The launch brought together government officials, students, innovators, startup founders, academic institutions and other stakeholders connected with Tripura's emerging innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

The three initiatives are aimed at strengthening digital inclusion, encouraging innovation-driven solutions and creating greater opportunities for young people and startups in Tripura.
