Udaipur: Jan 08. In an effort to address growing public complaints over delays and denial of government services, the Gomati District Administration today organised a district-level public hearing near the office of the District Magistrate.

The hearing brought together officials from all line departments, including the Public Works Department, Water Resources, Power Department, Health Department, Rural Development, Block Development Offices, Social Welfare and Social Education departments, among others. The initiative aimed to ensure quicker grievance redressal and improved coordination among departments.

District Magistrate Rinku Lather, Superintendent of Police Dr. Kiran Kumar K, along with Additional District Magistrates, Sub-Divisional Magistrates and senior officials from various departments were present during the programme.

Addressing the officials, District Magistrate Rinku Lather directed department heads to listen carefully to public grievances and resolve issues without delay. He emphasised that citizens should not be forced to repeatedly visit offices for basic services.

The public hearing was organised following repeated complaints from residents who alleged that they were not receiving proper services despite approaching concerned departments multiple times.

The administration stated that such hearings would help strengthen accountability and restore public confidence in governance.
