Sabroom, Sept. 8: A 13-year-old Class VII student was found dead at her rented residence in Ward No. 8 of Sabroom Nagar Panchayat on Tuesday morning, sending shockwaves through the locality.
The deceased was identified as D. Sampari Tripura, a student of PM Shri Balika Vidyalaya. She was the daughter of Kishore Tripura, an SPO jawan from East Ludua, and had been staying as a tenant at the residence of Biswajit Basak.
According to preliminary information, Sampari had spent Monday night at a female friend’s house before returning to her rented room early Tuesday morning. She was later found hanging inside the room.
Police from Sabroom Police Station reached the spot after receiving the information and initiated an investigation. A forensic team from Belonia was also called to examine the scene and assist authorities in determining the circumstances surrounding the death.
The exact circumstances leading to the girl’s death remain under investigation. Authorities are expected to establish the sequence of events and other relevant details as the probe progresses.
